The Club, situated alongside the picturesque village of Ogbourne St. George, provides an idyllic setting. With stunning views across the Marlborough Downs, 200 acres of sweeping downland terrain, and character in abundance - Receive a warm welcome and a real test of your playing ability.

Designed by J.H. Taylor in 1927, it has retained much of its original character through innate contours and sweeping undulations. It is a fine example of a downland course sitting on fast draining chalk. During your round savor the myriad of local wildlife including the elusive Red Kite which often frequent the skies above.

President's Prize, Saturday 28th April 2012

The winners of this year's President's Prize competition were Jake Bolton and Jack Brain with a 4BBB stableford score of 39 points. Last year's Captain Dick Solomon and Keith Burke took second place with 39 points. A big thank you to President Ken Stevens and last year's President Ken Knox for sponsoring the prizes. Thank you also to all those that took part and showed their support for the President.

Barbury Shoot

A fantastic day was had by all at the Barbury Shoot & Golf Day. The eventual winners were Paul Thrush and Bill Whatley who scored a commendable, combined total of 104 points. Click here for slideshow.

Head Professional Craig Bell and Chairman Eddie McConnell shot their way to victory in the morning, hitting 26 from 30 clays. As the group of 20 teed off in the afternoon, the heavens opened and the damp conditions made for a tough test. Thrush & Whatley both scored highest with 37 points each. Shooting points were added to the players Stableford points and names we drawn at random to form pair totals. Thank you to Craig and Ben for organising the day and all those that took part.
